Easter Ties and Pesky Flies

Life has been blossoming well! The final patches of snow have melted away and the sun shines about eighty percent of the time-- which leads to the return of the flies! These creatures manifest my family's backyard, and though irritable, they are not as bad as the moths and two inch mosquitoes that lurk around. Sadly, there aren't many bunnies where I live, so no sign of the Easter bunny or any eggs.

  1. Hehe! I love the pictures, except for the flies. I'm not a bug person at all. Unfortunately, we have mosquito problems where I live, so I can understand your dilemma.

    1. I'm not much of a bug person either, but if you don't want something to harm you, you don't harm it back. It's a bit of a mutual understanding. Mosquitoes here scare me... they're enormous to the point it seems unnatural!

  2. I don't really like creepy crawlies so flies are a pest in Britain as well! Oh my gosh the amount if bluebottles we get! During the spring so far I've had about 80 midgie (we call Mosquitos Mosquitos and midgies and the uk) bites! Xoxo

    1. I've never heard of midgie or bluebottles before! On a scale of one to ten, how bad are they?

    2. None of them are harmless unless you are allergic. My sister is allergic to midgies and she gets her bites quite red and they start to swell. Midgies bite and are super itchy so I'd say 5-6/10. Bluebottles are not harmless but are noisy and annoying so 3-4/10. But thankfully they are not harmless! Xoxo

    3. Also Mosquitos here are really small and that means you can't see or tell when they bite. You just start getting really itchy and then you have a lump on where they but you!

    4. Bug allergies are the worst. I have a friend who's allergic to the wasps here, and whenever it is spring they often would wear multiple layers to make sure they don't break out. If midgies are that annoying on the scale, I wouldn't want to bump into them! The only good thing about the mosquitoes being big is that you can see them, but nether the less their bites get very itchy, indeed!

    1. At the buffet I mentioned in the post, I ate gummy bears-- and realized I had a rainbow of them. I took tons of photos of it because who wouldn't? The sun-holding is a habitual photo I've been taking a lot lately, possibly because I love the idea that the sun is in our hands.

    1. Glad to hear that! :) In actuality, it snowed the night before about three inches. Good thing it all melted away that day!

  7. Did you enjoy "Happy Happy Clover"? I love that book (manga?). It may seem childish but read all the volumes. They're worth it. And the book...let me guess...Paper Towns (I know you can sort of guess cause it says at the top but I swear I didn't look)? Enjoy your gummy bears :)

    1. It's not childish at all! I only have volumes two and five but I have read all of them. The book is Paper Towns, yes. I checked it out the last time I went to the library after seeing the trailer and having my interest stirred.

  9. The gummy bears are adorable! ^.^ Warm weather means ants for me, lots of ants. And not just outside, but in the house, invading the pantry and anywhere else there happens to be sugar. Oh well, it is the price we must pay for happy spring time. It's a price I'm willing to pay. :)

  17. Cute pictures! <3 Ah, flies! They are so annoying! (especially the buzz sound they make) But moths are my greatest fear! My brothers squish them with their fingers all the time in the summer, and its just revolting!

    1. Flies are very annoying... they just go all about "buzzzzzz" in your hair. Ugh, yes, that sounds disgusting, squishing moths with their hands! DX
