20 Things You Might Not Know About Me Blog Tag

Hullo! Several people had nominated me for this tag, and I finally had a chance to do so! There's this party I'm forced to go to and I'm not happy about it. Now, let's just talk blogging related: I'm going to be making up for the tags that people have nominated me for but I never got to in September. Let's start this, shall we?

1. Copy and paste the questions below and then answer and turn them into a blog post. Or, record a video answering these questions and upload it to your blog post.

2. At the bottom of your post, tag anywhere from 2-10 bloggers you want to see answer these questions. (I also suggest hitting up your tagged people via social media just to let them know you tagged them to do this tag challenge.)

3. Use the title: 20 Things You Might Not Know About Me Blog Tag. Once you’ve hit publish, leave a comment below with the link to your post.

4. Use the hashtag #20ThingsBlogTag when sharing on social media so we can all find your awesome posts!
Here we go!
Question 1: How tall are you?
To be honest, I'm not all that tall! I'm 4'11", which is the same height as my mom, and I really hope to grow and become much taller than I am now, at least up to 5'4", but if I only grew to just be at least 5'2" I'd be happy! Most of my friends are 5'8" and are still growing. (Come on growth spurt, come already!)

Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
Hidden talent... well, I already told all of readers that I can easily do math in my head, so that isn't really a "hidden" one anymore. Wait, I know another one! Lean in closer... put down your headphones or earplugs and listen. Yes, even you, that one person who is probably listening to Shake It Off. My hidden talent is... I can easily make myself disappear. The average height at the school I'm at is about 5'4", so compared to everyone else I'm pretty small. Plus, it is very easy for me to hide in plain sight when I want to. It's an amazing skill to have.

Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
My biggest blog-related pet peeve is a tie between two things that I will explain. The first one is when people leave comments on one's blog and they ask to follow. Then you do those things... and they never even bother to look at your blog again. I also hate it when there are bloggers who used to write meaningful things and now they just meander of to writing things like, "Oh, here are some pictures I found on Pinterest." EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
Other than open doors, I don't like people who aren't sincere of who they are.

Question 5: What’s your favourite song?
It changes. I discover and rediscover music. Right now I am jamming out to DJ Earworm's United State of Pop 2009 (Blame It On the Pop). It is quite amazing and shows how great music was during that time era (DJ Earworm is amazing). After 2012, what has happened to the music of this world? All of the songs sound that same. I still applaud those artists who have something to say, a message to tell everyone, nowadays.

Question 6: What’s your favourite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?
I don't go on Etsy much, so I'm not sure. I'm sorry!

Question 7: What’s your favourite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
I'm not sure. I don't like questions that ask to name something specifically because most of the time, I'm real indecisive. I know how most of my friends spend their free time (my school friends spend their time role-playing on Goodreads, my theater friends like to spend their time watching videos on YouTube and checking out their Instagram feed) but since I am too busy to go and roleplay nor can I have an Instagram, I spend my free time differently. Usually I just watch movies at home or I read and write. Depends.

Question 8: What’s your favourite junk food?
I love eating Biscoff-spreaded bread. Goodness, it is unbelievably good!

Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
I used to have a pet goldfish, but now I don't... I once had this fish named Nemo (my brother named him) when I was six, however. I wish there were pictures of him so that way I can upload one and show you guys, but back then there my family didn't have fancy cameras.

Question 10: What are your number one favourite nonfiction and fiction books?
Why.... this is such a torturing question! I'll skip this.

Question 11: What’s your favourite beauty product?
I don't wear makeup that often and I don't like wearing it because I look nothing like myself, even if the makeup put on me is supposed to be natural. I have none!

Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
The last time I was embarrassed was last night, when I was screaming. One of the people I play as (I play two speak roles) acts as a damsel in distress-- except she is in serous distress, trying to run from two henchmen of her boss's enemy. I was screaming the entire time, trying to make the horror and fear in my screams very evident. The place where my cast rehearses also has a basketball camp going on there and youth gatherings going on, so people kept peeping through the door to see who was screaming and why. Every time I would get flustered and be like, "Hi... screaming am I? Real is this... I mean, it's not supposed to... I mean, urgh, never mind." I kept mixing up my words, and everyone just looked at my peculiar afterwards.

Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mango juice or a strawberry banana boba.

Question 14: What’s your favourite movie?
Goodness, I doubt I can chose this! Um... I'm not sure.
Question 15: What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?
Well... I would be either a nerd. I don't think I would reach the valedictorian stage when I graduate high school, but if so, that would be neat! Now, I am just a nerd who fumbles through the hallways and mumbles whenever teachers start talking about me in class.
Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I would love to live in New York City... but then I love where I am living right now. Simultaneously I feel like, when I grow up, I will be a nomadic sort of person who just goes and lives where I'm needed.

Question 17: PC or Mac?
Whichever one can satisfy my needs. Currently my PC is, so I'm great with that for now.

Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?
AHAHAHAHAHA! You all are very funny. I don't have a crush, date, boyfriend, or spouse! I don't want to waste my time on that drama now, when I am still young! Nope. None. Nada!

Question 19: Favourite celebrity?
I don't think about that stuff, so I have absolutely no idea. Let me see... probably Emma Watson. But I also saw the 2005 movie Pride and Prejudice, and Kiera Knightly portrayed Elizabeth Bennet quite well, in my opinion.
Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want be best friends with?
GAH this is hard... I guess probably either Kat or Tara, but I still love everyone and love to be besties with you all!

Nominating:
Tara
Morning Kay
Micalea
Envy
Riley
Tane

I love all of these ladies; they aren't afraid to speak their minds!

Blog Party + Writing Contest Details

Huzzah! I'm proud to present to you the rules and regulations for my blog party and writing contest! Can you feel the excitement in air, everyone? I do, and I'm just shaking. I know most of you voted to do everything, but the schedule I have for this week would not allow it (mainly it is because of my two essays that are due, added on top of rehearsals). So, I will only be able to do these two options, plus possibly a video, if I can download the correct software onto my laptop. Well, let's not leave you there hanging; here are the details!
\\  Blog Party

The Ups and Downs of My Not-So-Average Life

I have hosted nor joined a blog party before, so I am going to have to just wing it! In exchange for you guys doing this, I will put your button on my sidebar for about three weeks before relocating it to my "Friends" page but after I update my blog design. The blog party will end on October 5th.
+ Post about the blog party on your blog with the button image above included.
+ Answer these ten questions:
1. What do you love about the fall season?
2. If you walked in a mall and saw a guacamole chip hat, would you wear one or eat it?
3. What is one of the most frustrating or aggravating things in the blogging world?
4. Would you rather build a snowman or sing in the rain? (See what I did there?)
5. If you had to chose how you were a part of a theater or movie production, would you be: an actor, props designer, set designer, light/technical director, audio coordinator, costume director, music director, dance coordinator, stage manager, or a part of the audience?
6. List your blogging inspirations (blogs and people).
7. Do you think you could commit yourself to a Halloween costume made of lint, or a Halloween costume made of bubble wrap?
8. Do you tend to photo bomb people's photos, or divert from them?
9. What is one word you constantly have to keep looking up the definition to?
10. If you wrote an autobiography about yourself, what would you call it (if you couldn't place your name in the title) and why?
+ Place the link to the blog party post in the comments section below.
+ If you don't have time to post your answers on your blog, alternatively you can place the button in your sidebar and answer the questions in the comments.

\\ Writing Contest

The Ups and Downs of My Not-So-Average Life

Unlike the previous writing contest I hosted, this contest does not have a topic. You can write about anything that you want, as long as it is not too long or contains anything that would be labeled as PG-13 if we had to put an MPAA label on it. Please make sure that it is your own work, and if you add photo from Pinterest or another website you label and give credit where it is needed. Also, add this button above your entry. I will announce a first, second, third place winners and several honorable mentions, but I will also place links to your entries. Write your entries on a post and post the link in the comments section. The deadline will be on October 5th, and winners should be announced on October 8th, three days before the big day. Not my birthday, though! Dun-dun, DUHNNN.

Good luck to you all!

Ups and Downs

I remember doing a post exactly like this a year ago, and thought that since I haven't been able to get online as much as I wish, I would type this up to tell you guys what I've been up to. Keep an eye out for my blog party and writing contest details in two days! Also, people's faces are blurred for privacy reasons. I may need to go back and blur them a bit more.

Ups
1. I get to go out and see my friends face-to-face almost every single day in the evenings and laughing my head off at all of the ridiculous jokes that are many. Some I don't get because, unlike 95% of the people in my cast, I don't have a Vine or an Instagram, but still, it is very fun.

2. The really high score I received on my Algebra II math test. Yes, I am doing Algebra II. I'm so happy about that.
3. Exploring this one substitute place our cast was at for rehearsal while waiting for our turn for blocking. Exploring a mini theater like that, with paint buckets, rugs, and an artificial sword fish, was extremely fun and satisfying.
4. Playing Minute-To-Win-It games all Friday morning long.
5. Helping out with the Duct Tape Challenge. We had to duct tape one of our team members to the lockers and out of all teams, see how long someone would last. Our team won. What was our strategy? Disorderly taping.

6. Coming up with this amazing video film idea about the... wait, once I create it, I'll tell you all.
7. I'm actually going out and doing something than wasting my time away doing nothing.
8. Writing up a final post for the month coming after this. Upcoming for next month: my novel's main theme, pictures from the theater production (and how we kill and eat apples in our free time), and me having rediscovering wise words. Most of this will have an air of mystery to them, but that is how it is.

Downs
1. The pressure I am in on trying to top the last essay I wrote for class. When the teacher keeps saying during classroom seminars that you have very sharp writing and the entire class goes to look at you, you can't help feel but breathing hard in this amount of pressure.

2. Biology. It's fun, but it can be hard at times.
3. Theater is coming to and end pretty soon, and I'm sad about how I won't be able to see most of these people for about another year (this corresponds with the seventh "up").

4. Stage fright.
5. Knowing what I want for my birthday I cannot receive.
6. People who want your birthday to play out as they want it when you just want to have your birthday eating pizza and chips with your friends in the evening,
7. I can not see my school friends as often as I like. :(
8. Realizing how often your character in a play is inclined to scream. I don't mind screaming, but it hurts my ears.

Tears

This is an excerpt from one of my novels that I've had for quite some time now. It's one of the more intense parts, which a working title for this would be Tears. After my second round of edits I'll go and try to find beta readers or critiques. Please don't steal, and please be courteous! Thanks!
(via)
"Whose opinion do you value more? Theirs, or your own?"

"I don't know! I don't know, I don't know, I don't know!" I pounded my fist against the table. I didn't care if anyone else saw me. I was sick and tired of having being torn of choosing different sides and valuing different people's opinions.

My face became streaked with tears, running like water being thrown out a window. I rubbed away the snot dribbling down my nose. "Usually, it's so easy for me to choose, but I can't. Is this what they were telling is in Health class, that the teenage years is when we find ourselves? I hate this, choosing sides and all of these aimed threats and stuff. Going through all of this self-discovery just for that is stupid. I can't distinguish the truth from lies anymore! I can't handle this anymore! I can't--" I paused with a thought dawning on me. "Oh my gosh. I don't even know what I want in my life." Through my glistening tears, Monique was staring in bewilderment.

I could barely make out the words that came from my lips as I hoarsely whispered, "Monique,  who am I? I am so confused, and I don't know what to do."

Interview with Oakstar!

(via)
Hi, everyone! Today I am doing the second interview, which is with Oakstar from An Amazing Case of Wanderlust! I don't want to leave you guys hanging and waiting for what she has to say-- let's start!

1. "Introduce yourself. Tell us your hobbies, personality, quirks, whatever you think is important when you first met someone."
O: Hi there, lovely internet people! I'm Oakstar. Is this a good introduction? I don't know. I'm not very good at them, especially when I'm not actually talking to someone. Okay, so, about me. I am a swimmer, a reader, a photographer, a person who swings on swings, and, most importantly, a writer. Writing is one of my favourite things to do. I also enjoy Indian food and watching as many Doctor Who episodes as possible in a row without getting a migraine. I love hanging out with my friends, especially at our local pool. I think I'm a friendly friend, loyal, funny, slightly odd, smart, and fun type of person. I do not know how to make a grilled cheese and I have an over-obsession with clouds. I love them; they're so puffy and perfect and... Yeah. I also have a very fast train of thought.

2. You mentioned you have a fast train of thoughts. Do you think philosophically, or are you someone who has many ideas running through your mind, or both?
O: Both! I often spend a long time thinking about different subjects, such as time and space ad sizes of things, and whether the phoenix or the flame came first. But I also just have so many things going on in my mind all the time, and everything reminds me of everythin

3. What are your hopes and dreams for the future?
O: My dream is to be a published, best-selling author. It's a dream a lot of people have, especially around my age, but I do believe I can really do it. I love writing. I also dream about going to Oxford University. It's a crazy thought, but it could happen. Oh yeah! I can also imagine myself flying around in a police box one day.

4. How exactly are you slightly odd? Do you have any odd quirks, or are you just naturally awkwardly amazing odd?
O: Everybody likes to think they are odd, or at least that's what I believe. I'm no Mina McKee, but I do think that I am a little quirky. For instance: I dread going to high school without a school uniform, I am quite bright for my age but sometimes forget to use common sense (who needs it anyway?), and I sometimes doze off in my little world, just thinking about anything and everything.
.
5. Do you consider making grilled cheese sandwiches a very important skill to learn? And what is your favorite Indian food?
O: I do think making grilled cheese is an important skill to learn. First of all, they are delicious and easy to eat if you're in a hurry, and it is extraordinarily comforting to have grilled cheese. My favourite Indian food is chicken korma with some nice cauliflower pakora on the side. I don't eat it often because it's pretty unhealthy, but it's really worth the wait!

6. What qualities do you look for in a friend?
O: Someone who's kind and trusting, and who can listen to, not just hear you. Someone who loves you for who you are, all your little quirks, who can take a joke but be serious when needed. Someone who doesn't just treat you respectfully, but others as well. Someone you can trust, who will be there for you whenever you need, but call you on your own misdeeds.
.
I also want to say that I'm really sorry if it seems like I'm in hermit-mode (meaning that I'm not commenting on your guys' blog, etc.) I seriously love you guys and I haven't forgotten about you, but my schedule has been conflicting with blogging. Over the weekend I'm going to try and comment on everyone's blogs and maybe perhaps post pictures of my first makeup appliance on my eyes went... let me tell you that that DID NOT work out fine.

Lately.

Lately,

Hello, hello, everyone! I have finally gotten back into the swing of the school year schedule... yet this is only temporary. Yup, I'm busy, busy, busy! That's just the way I like things in my life, compared to how four to five months, stuck on home and reading blogs and manga over my three hour free time I had. I say my schedule is only temporary because some of the activities that I am pursuing now I may not be able to do in the next several months due to conflicting forces. My schedule on now as follows:

What I have been up to from the last time I posted up to this point:

// I got into a theatre show! It's called The Three Musketeers, which I'm sure you all have heard of at some point in time. I'm playing Elise, who is a girl who flirts with Aramis, one of the three titular characters. Some of the people in the cast of Three Musketeers were in my last play, so unlike last time, I wasn't entirely nervous and standing in solitude along the corner, awkwardly observing everyone else talk. At the same time, I'm doubling as a Fighter. Sure, it's a small role, but I didn't expect to land a major part for my second show! Perhaps for my third, I might. As they say, "Remember: there are no small parts, only small actors." Oh, and there are two words that are associated either the play that I'm in that is one attribute I particularly enjoy: stage combat!

// I've got back into taking dance classes on the weekends! During the first several months of blogging, I took dance class, but by the end of that semester I took a break for about a year. I'm still taking up the same class as I did before (musical theater) and I'm loving it!

// I finally went to Michaels after six months! My mom and grandmother were going there to buy some wool yarn when I tagged along with them, but they did not end up finding any. However, I found this really cool scrapbook paper that I am going to use for this project that I have been doing annually for about three years now! Since I don't do anything over the weekends and the television is usually occupied by my grandmother at that time, that is when I will be working on this project. Isn't the paper so cute?

// I'm learning new blog design codes! I may have slowed down my blog design business until further notice, but still, I'm making new and learning codes! I'm also hoping to go on a font spree soon and get about 10 fonts (maybe I can ask to download Photoshop or Gimp along with that)! When my business opens up again, I'll be sure to blow your minds with the designs (test ones which I'm working on right now).

// I'm sad at the fact that the school I'm at can't partake in one of my favorite book competitions. I talked to the librarian about it, and she said that there wasn't a great turn up of people last year-- it was so bad, that the coach for the book competition isn't coaching it anymore!

// It's my brother's birthday today. :)

// I have no idea what I want for my birthday! Isn't that strange? Usually I ask foe something substantial or something that is physical, like a hard back copy of a book, but now, whenever my parents are asking me what I want for my birthday, I tell them, "I don't know." I could ask them to download fonts for me, but for a birthday gift, that isn't really satisfying. Honestly, I think something that 2014 has taught me is that we really don't really need substantial things to be happy, however nice they are to have, but but we should value more of those things we have that aren't physically there. My laptop and doing theater at the beginning of the year is a great example of this. My laptop was something that I kept using and thought I really needed, but when I began theater, I was so much more happy over the course of that time frame. I loved just driving out to go to rehearsal over and sing along with everyone else to Just Give Me a Reason during five minute breaks and going out to play Paper Ball. That's real stuff that we need! Interacting with people! Emotions! I think that's what I want for my birthday, to continue on with theater year round, even with future shows, because that's something I value over my laptop and the Internet (and really, help me get out of the house), but I don't think that wish will be granted, however much I truly want it. :'(

If it was Thursday today, this photo would have been Throwback Thursday... This was a photo from my first play. We were playing a game. I was the first one out. xP

// Wow. I just realized I had 92 followers. O-O Please keep a watch out for the next post, which is another interview!

50 Facts About Me-- Again!

About a month ago, I was nominated by Kat to do the 50 Facts About Me tag. Most of these facts that I have listed are a collection of facts about myself that I have been saying for the amount of time I've been blogging, so it's like an encyclopedia of it. Later, this is where I will be referring people to look when I update my about me page. Without further ado, the 50 facts!
  1. Two of my favorite stores to visit are Barnes and Nobles and Michaels.
  2. Pitas and strawberry banana boba (aka bubble tea) are some of my favorite delicacies! Yum!
  3. Usually I involve myself in anything having to do with the arts and sports, but lately, I've been leaning towards the arts. Thus, the reason why I am outside of my house in the afternoons and evenings a lot. It may seem like a lot, but I like to keep myself busy!
  4. Something I loved in my childhood is (guess what) Pokemon.
  5. When I am feeling cranky, I use intricate vocabulary that no one can really interpret.
  6. A quirky skill that I have is being able to do double digit multiplication and division in my head in a matter of seconds and get the answers right. That's how I earned my title of being a walking human calculator.
  7. I'm a really awkward person in general.
  8. Mint chocolate chip is my favorite ice cream flavor.
  9. I am a pretty independent.
  10. My personality type is an INFP on the Myers-Briggs personality test.
  11. Something I do tons of overachievement, but some days it's like, "I need a break and enjoy life in relaxation for a bit." You know the feeling?
  12. I am described, nicknamed, and look a lot like a Pikachu, a reason why I am feeling nervous just thinking about that author picture that will appear on that book blurb or book flap. Another reason why I prefer to be called Morning. >.<
  13. My favorite color is orange. People may hate me because it's the color orange, but I'm strange like that.
  14. I'm old-fashioned.
  15. When I'm older, I'm not sure what I'm going to be, but I know this for certain: I will have my novel published before graduation and I will go to a prestigious university. When I get back, all of the activities that I used to do--play volleyball, participate in youth theater-- I'm going to volunteer and help those guys out. It's me giving back to them because I'd the amazing stuff that they've done for me.
  16. I am not shy-- I am just reserved and quiet around people. Or, as my personality type profile puts it, I am not "trusting". At school I'll just be all quiet while I read, study, and do my homework over lunch at the place where my friends and I hang out, quietly talking to them as I do those activities. When I'm out in the community, I'm shy-- at first-- but then I'm 25 times more outgoing than normal, and I would talk to people about pretzels and wave to people, screaming, "HI!" Most people at my school, when I tell them this, they're like, "HAHA, very funny. You are nothing like that!" But in actuality I do, probably because at school, you HAVE to be there for school and though my school, throughout the entire town I live in, is said to have the least air of judgement, that sort of air still hangs. There are times when I am outgoing at school, but it's very rare.

  17. Pikas are my favorite animal, despite the mispronunciation accident revolving around it.
  18. I wear glasses only when I'm looking into a screen.
  19. If you gave me a choice between staying inside reading and writing, or going outside to the community to play volleyball or do theater, I would choose the latter. The reason for that? Look at the next fact!
  20. The background behind my blog's URL is quite simple: I am stuck at home a lot. For some people, that would be amazing (for them it would mean endless hours of Twitter, Tumblr, and watching some shows like Pretty Little Liars, Teen Wolf, etc.), but for me, it stinks. I could be out doing something, but in reality, I'm inside with nothing to do. A lot of times I would sit very bored and watch the world go by outside through the windowsill located in the upstairs living room. In this year, 2014, I love how I know can go outside way more than I used to. Hopefully 2015 and the following years are just the same.
  21. I don't watch that much television, simply because I lack the time to do so and have very little interest watching it live.
  22. I'm a klutzy person. Watch me walk at home as I trip walking up the stairs, or at school, I tend to door my graphing calculator that shouldn't be dropped because graphic calculators are expensive.
  23. This will sound weird, but something that bothers me are open doors when I'm on my laptop. Not like the metaphorical doors that were sang of in Love Is An Open Door, but physical doors. Especially if the bathroom door is open with no one in there. I do not want to see what is in the bathroom, so I get up and close that door a lot, along with closet doors.
  24. I'm a Libra.
  25. I get nervous when I have to perform by myself and lots of people are watching. With multiple people on the stage with me, there is no problem.
  26. I'm short for my age; I'm about 4'11"! I'm doing tons of stretching to make myself grow taller (which is somewhat helping; I grow about a half inch every three or four months). My dream height is 5'4", but even if I settle at 5'1" or 5'2" I will be an extremely happy person. (Come on, just one more inch to reach the five foot line!) Am I insecure about my height? Nah. Maybe sometimes, but if people have a problem with my height, that is their problem and something I would appreciate they would keep to themselves. That's not the something you should judge me by!
  27. I keep saying I love the arts and sports, but if I have to be specific, I love theater, writing, and volleyball (not necessarily in that particular order that was just laid out).
  28. Quirky sayings I have said throughout my life are, "Drat!", and "Shish kebabs!", but lately I have been saying, "Whoop whoop!" That always mainly occurs during rehearsal. I'm not sure why.
  29. My favorite music genres are folk, pop (not today's pop; I mainly like most pop music made in the 2009-12 time period), indie, and about 95% of what are in TV/movie scores.
  30. ...I'm an awkward person, if you haven't noticed. Two days ago I was doing interpretive dancing with some people in my cast because there was nothing better to do. It was fun.
  31. My favorite season is winter! I know people may find this weird, but I like Black Friday (it's where you buy stuff the day after Thanksgiving real early) not because of the shopping; I just love how despite the fact that the town is covered in snow and it's three in the morning, everyone is going on with their day-to-day schedules like they don't lack sleep.
  32. When I was about eleven or twelve, I had an obsession with manga.
  33. One of the most amazing childhood memories I had was during our free time at this camp I'd attend, everyone would go grab those spare water noodles hanging behind the handheld kicking targets and start "sword fighting". It was chaos, but amazing. XD
  34. I'm Filipino.
  35. I despise coffee. All I got from it was a jittery rush. How is it supposed to be good, exactly? Thus the reason why I prefer frappucinos.

  36. I once had a pet fish named Nemo. I was about six or seven when I had him.
  37. If I were a spirit animal (this was a question asked by me yesterday which I just impulsively said a random answer), it would be a mix between pikas, a ferret and an otter.
  38. I'm right-handed.
  39. If I had a superpower, I would have the power to heal people.
  40. A fictional character I'm like... well, two characters from two different novel universes that I made are completely different. One of them is analytic and very closed, while the other is rather creative and does things on impulse.
  41. If I was allowed to have any occupation, I would either take up the role as a nomadic traveler and learner. At the same time, I also can't deny the fact that when I was younger, I would have LOVED and ADORED the idea of becoming an actor or an actress.... sometimes, I still dream about that.... :P
  42. Before I graduate, I want to learn how to speak Spanish, French, and American Sign Language. So far I am mastering Spanish, and I'm sitting in class, thinking to myself, "Pshaw, I got this!"
  43. Also, before I graduate, I want to play the guitar and piano, plus improve my singing voice and my ukulele skills.

  44. I don't like wearing makeup that much. If I can only show you how I look with and without makeup! But I'm not allowed to take pictures of people's faces, mines or someone else's. I need to protect people's right to privacy.
  45. My favorite fruits are grapes and oranges. My favorite fruit always changes!
  46. I have a crazy sweet tooth.
  47. Everyone looks to me for the leader role, which intimidates me. I try to be a leader, but to be honest, it's very hard role that I have to take on.
  48. Riding on boats terrify me.
  49. My favorite childhood books are The Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter.
  50. I'm out of the house doing theater related activities when I'm not working on school work. Something that I know I can't do as a working job is work as a music, theater performer or anything that revolving around that, and honestly, that's the one of the areas that I am most relaxed and comfortable in, just right behind writing. So, what I am doing is that I'm trying to train myself in the arts until I graduate, and I'm going to keep studying on my own time and keep learning and training so that way it doesn't feel as if a part of me isn't breathing. Despite my stage fright, performing is something that I love doing and I don't want that aspect to be gone from my life.

Interview With Jollygirl!

About a month or two ago, I asked two bloggers, who were somewhat new to the blogging world, whether they wanted to do an interview and be featured on my blog! Today I got the chance to interview the lovely Jollygirl, who blogs over at Reflections of a Jollygirl! I've sort of known her before she began blogging; both of us tend to comment on the Discovery Girl forums. I was originally going to post this several days ago, but then I decided not to realizing that Jollygirl wouldn't be able to see it (she was gone, and now is back, from the Discovery Girl summit). Anyhoo, without further ado, the interview!

1. "Introduce yourself. Tell us your hobbies, personality, quirks, whatever you think is important when you first met someone."
J: Hi, I’m Jollygirl, a tween-aged ambivert who likes to be as optimistic as she can! I’m a bookaholic, an aspiring poet, a musician, and a blogger! I’m one of those people who values kindness as an important trait and always strives to be kind. I try to find a lesson in life every time a moment happens. I try to look on the bright side of things (even though sometimes I can't).

2) So, you're a musician! What instrument(s) do you play? Do you play with a band or orchestra, or perform?
J: I play the piano. I also used to play the flute but stopped. Other than the piano, I like to sing. I’m thinking of going to singing classes soon. I don’t perform very often. When I was playing the flute I was in a school band and performed 4 times a year. For piano, I’ve only performed 2 times which is odd since that I’ve been playing piano for 4 years. I’ve also sang on stage even though I have never taken singing classes (well actually I took one but it was a different kind of singing and it ended.) The reason why I performed singing was because I joined lots of singing groups!

3) Was there one act of kindness that is significant to you, personally?
J: There was one act of kindness from someone else once. All of my friends really wanted to play this one certain game which had running in it (running makes me cough). All of my friends said that I could play something else or just sit out until the game was finished. One of my friends however, said that she wasn’t going to play the game if I wasn’t going to play. What she did might not seem like a big deal to you readers but I thought it was really nice of her.

4) Earlier you said that try to find a lesson in life... what is your favorite life lesson, and why?
J: “Treat others like you would want to be treated” I know all of you have heard of this lesson before and probably think its cheesy-but it’s not. It is an amazing life lesson that everyone should know. My family and I refer to it as “the rule of thumb”. I like this lesson because it makes people recognize that they are treating people badly. It makes you think “would I want this done to myself?” before you do something to others.

4) Can you give your own definition of optimism, and how does it affect you?
J: Optimism definition- I think it is a way to look at different kinds of things positively! Optimism is something you can choose to use and I do! I try to turn pessimistic thoughts into optimistic thoughts! Optimism affects me a lot. It turns your frown upside down! For example just this morning I was really happy but then I realized my follow button was not working for a few days and I was not able to fix it. This was kind of upsetting because I had received several messages from people who wanted to follow me but couldn’t. I tried to turn this into an optimistic thought and I did! New thought: While my follow button is getting fixed I have more opportunities for people to follow me on bloglovin and by gmail! Always see as your glass half full rather than half empty. So I think optimism basically just affects me by giving me a positive point of view and turn sadness into happiness!

5) What do you hope readers get out of your blog?
J: Well, the whole reason why I started this blog was for my voice to be heard. So I basically hope readers get my thoughts and points of view out of my blog. I hope that people can come to my blog to relax for a bit and have some fun! My blog is a trip into my mind. My thoughts, my experiences, etc…

Thank you so much for doing this, Jollygirl! ^.^ Please stay tuned for the next interviewee, who will appear in several days! Also, I have no idea what I should do blog-related when my birthday hits... so now, I've put up a poll over on the sidebar of my blog (under the accordion button) and you guys can help me decide! Have a happy Labor Day, everyone!
